The drive is about 120 km from Suvarnabhumi Airport and about 150 km from central Bangkok. Because Suvarnabhumi sits on the east side of the city, it is the quickest pickup point: most rides reach Pattaya in around 1.5 hours. From Don Mueang Airport or hotels in Sukhumvit, Silom, Siam or the riverside, plan on 2 to 2.5 hours depending on traffic.

Your driver normally takes Motorway 7 (the Bangkok–Chonburi Motorway), the fastest and smoothest route to the east coast. If there is an accident or heavy traffic, the driver may switch to the Bang Na–Trat road. Either way, the expressway and motorway tolls are already included in your fixed price, so there is nothing extra to pay on the way.
There are several ways to travel from Bangkok to Pattaya. Public buses and shared minivans cost less, but you need to get to the bus terminal first, follow a fixed timetable and carry your bags on board. Ride-hailing apps are convenient in the city, but the fare to Pattaya changes with demand and a car large enough for your luggage is not always available.
